RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0710 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE PHILIPPINE LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE (PLDT) INCORPORATED, FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT UNDER THE FIBER TO THE BUILDING (FTTB) DESIGN AND DEPLOYMENT AT THE CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3) BUILDING" WHEREAS, consistent with its commitment to bring excellent service to their patrons/subscribers, the Philippine Long Distance Telephone, Incorporated is pursuing the implementation of an expansion program of a fiber optics network in buildings which involve the installation of a state-of-the-art facilities and equipment under the Fiber to the Building (FTTB) design and deployments; WHEREAS, in relation thereto, the City Commercial Center (C3) building located at Rizal Avenue, Barangay Santiago, this City, has been chosen for the program which undertaking requires the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Philippine Long Distance Telephone, Inc. and the City Government of Pagadian, hence, the City Chief Executive sought for legislative authority to enter into such deed; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing project, this body, finding the same advantageous and beneficial to the general public, deems it appropriate and in order to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the authority to represent the City Government in the formal forging of such Memorandum of Agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Incorporated, for the installation of a state-of-the-art facilities and equipment under the Fiber to the Building (FTTB) design and deployments at the City Commercial Center (C3) building; RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Legal Officer; and Mr. Antonio B. Miranda, Head, PLDT BICS Regional-VisMin, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
