RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0685 (Sponsored by: Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY UTILIZATION OF AN AREA AT THE PAGADIAN CITY SPORTS OVAL COMPLEX, BARANGAY SAN FRANCISCO, THIS CITY, FOR THE CONDUCT OF MOBILE EMISSION TESTING FOR GASOLINE AND DIESEL VEHICLES" WHEREAS, this body had previously granted approval for the temporary usage of an area at the Pagadian City Sports Oval, located at Barangay San Francisco, this City, for the conduct of mobile emission testing for gasoline and diesel vehicles for the period August 2027-29, 2020, to cater to the rising demand for vehicle's emission testing in the city and nearby municipalities; WHEREAS, with the lapse of the 3-day period, this body, after finding the period insufficient knowing that it can only accommodate up to seventy (70) vehicles per day, and having been informed that there are still a large number of privately-owned as well as government-owned vehicles that require emission testing, deems it urgently necessary to extend the temporary usage of the City Sports Oval, thus this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the temporary utilization of an area at the Pagadian City Sports Oval Complex, Barangay San Francisco, this City, for the conduct of mobile emission testing for gasoline and diesel vehicles. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
