RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0673 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR TO IMMEDIATELY FORMULATE AND COME UP WITH A BLUEPRINT OF THE CITY'S URBAN DEVELOPMENT PLAN ALONGSIDE WITH THE PAGADIAN CITY MASTER DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN, AND PROVIDE AND/OR FURNISH THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD WITH A COPY OF THE SAME WITHIN THE PERIOD NOT LATER THAN DECEMBER 2020 FOR ITS APPROPRIATE CONSIDERATION" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur, during its 49th Regular Session held on 06 August 2020, adopted Resolution No. 813-2020 which, in gist, enjoined the Local Chief Executives, through their respective City/Municipal Planning and Development Council and Sangguniang Panlungsod/Bayan, to adopt and approve a blueprint of their Urban Development Plan and to submit the same, if possible, on or before December 2020 to the Provincial Planning and Development Office, this Province, and furnished this body with copy of the same for its appropriate action; WHEREAS, this body, finding importance and urgency of the foregoing matter, deems it practical and reasonable to commission the Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator--whose mandate involves the preparation and formulation of such document--hence, requesting the City Chief Executive to direct the concerned office to urgently formulate such plans and furnish this Sanggunian with a copy of the same for its appropriate consideration within the period not later than December 2020 is most appropriate at this prevailing circumstance; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Planning and Development Coordinator to immediately formulate and come up with a blueprint of the City's Urban Development Plan alongside with the Pagadian City Master Development Plan and Comprehensive Land Use Plan, and provide and/or furnish the Sangguniang Panlungsod with a copy of the same within the period not later than December 2020 for its appropriate consideration. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for immediate favorable consideration; and to the City Planning and Development Coordinator, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
