RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0671 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO HIS HONOR, CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO, TO EXTEND MONTHLY MONETARY ALLOWANCE OF FIVE THOUSAND (P5,000.00) PESOS EACH TO SGT. GILBERT G. HERNANDEZ, PHILIPPINE NAVY/MARINE AND SSG. BRIXIO P. NOVESTERAS, PHILIPPINE ARMY, TEAM SUPERVISOR, 36TH EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DIVISION (EOD) TEAM, CHARGEABLE AGAINST APPROPRIATE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT" WHEREAS, consistent with its thrust and mandate to uphold and preserve the peaceful and orderly situation of the City and to further encourage law enforcers to actively campaign against all forms of criminality, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter, sought for authority to grant monthly monetary allowance to Sgt. Gilbert G. Hernandez, Philippine Navy/Marine and SSG. Brixio P. Novesteras, Philippine Army, Team Supervisor, 36th Explosive Ordnance Division, in the amount of Five Thousand (P5,000.00) Pesos each; WHEREAS, this august body, knowing that the City Government had been granting, since the past, additional allowances, when its finances warrant, to National Government Officials and employees assigned and stationed in the city including members of the national security forces who have directly contributed to the maintenance of peace and order pursuant to the provision of the Local Government Code particularly sub-paragraph (xi) of Paragraph (1), Article 99 of its Implementing Rules and Regulations, deems it reasonable and justifiable to accord the afore-mentioned military personnel of such financial grant; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to grant, as this body hereby grants authority to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, to extend monthly monetary allowance of Five Thousand (P5,000.00) Pesos each to Sgt. Gilbert G. Hernandez, Philippine Navy/Marine and Ssg. Brixio P. Novesteras, PA, Team Supervisor, 36th Explosive Ordnance Division (EOD) Team, chargeable against appropriate fund sources of the City Government. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; and the City Auditor, for their information and guidance.
