Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO PURCHASE, BY WAY OF A DEED OF ABSOLUTE SALE, A PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT NO. 2979 UNDER TAX DECLARATION NO. 2019-000539 IN THE NAME OF CARLOS BALAORO, CONTAINING AN AREA OF ONE THOUSAND SIXTY (1,060) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY SAN FRANCISCO, THIS CITY, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF TWENTY-TWO MILLION FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED NINETY-SEVEN AND 80/100 (P22,457,297.80) PESOS CHARGEABLE AGAINST THE SPECIAL EDUCATION FUND OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, FOR USE AS RELOCATION SITE OF PABLO LITIGIO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, WHICH DEED OF SALE, HOWEVER, SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE CONFIRMATION OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD" WHEREAS, in support of the City Government's basic educational program, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, during its 36th Regular Session held on 15 April 2020, enacted Resolution No. 2020-0483, which, in gist, authorized the Honorable City Mayor to negotiate the purchase of a parcel of land with an area of at least 600 square meters to 1,000 square meters at Barangay San Francisco, this city, for use as new site of the Pablo Litigio Elementary School; WHEREAS, given the foregoing, the Honorable City Mayor informed this body that a parcel of land known as Lot No. 2979 under Tax Declaration No. 2019-000539, with an area of 1,060 square meters is being offered for sale to the City Government in the amount based on the appraised value of P21,186.13 per square meter set by the City Appraisal Committee through its Resolution No. 10, series of 2020, and for which a request for an authority to purchase the same is being sought by the City Chief Executive; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, it is thus necessary to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to represent the City Government in formal forging of the Deed of Absolute Sale with the lot owner, Mr. Carlos Balaoro; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to purchase, by way of a Deed of Absolute Sale, a parcel of land known as Lot No. 2979 under Tax Declaration No. 2019-000539 in the name of Carlos Balaoro, containing an area of One Thousand Sixty (1,060) Square Meters, situated at Barangay San Francisco, this city, in the total amount of Twenty-Two Million Four Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-Seven and 80/100 (P22,457,297.80) Pesos, chargeable against the Special Education Fund of the City Government, for use as relocation site of Pablo Litigio Elementary School, which Deed of Sale, however, shall be subject to the confirmation of the Sangguniang Panlungsod. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information, guidance and appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
