RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0664 (Sponsored by: Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION ADOPTING MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2020-031 AS AMENDED BY MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2020-033, ISSUED BY THE LAND TRANSPORTATION AND FRANCHISING REGULATORY BOARD (LTFRB) FOR IMPLEMENTATION IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, due to the resumption of public transportation in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) across the country, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued Memorandum Circular No. 2020-031, which, in gist, required all public drivers, conductors and passengers inside public utility vehicle (PUV) to wear face shield/eye protector in addition to the mandatory wearing of face mask, and further amended by Memorandum Circular No. 2020-033 which clarified that the requirement for face shield should cover the whole face and disallow the use of eye protectors only; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, this body, to ensure an effective and efficient implementation of the foregoing directives, finds the need to adopt, for implementation in the City of Pagadian, Memorandum Circular Nos. 2020-031 and 2020-033 issued by the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB); NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby adopts Memorandum Circular No. 2020-031 as amended by Memorandum Circular No. 2020-033, issued by the Land Transportation and Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for implementation in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the Head-Road Management and Traffic Office, Office of the City Mayor; and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
