RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0623 (Sponsored by: Committee on Laws, Rules & Policy Formulation; and Committee on Barangay Affairs) "A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE VALIDITY OF BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO. 15, S. 2019, OF THE BARANGAY COUNCIL OF MACASING, THIS CITY, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE MANDATING DOG OWNERS WHOSE DOG ANIMAL HAVE BEEN FOUND TO HAVE URINATED AND DEFECATED ON ANOTHER PERSON'S PROPERTY, AND ON STREETS, SIDEWALKS, AND OTHER PUBLIC PLACES TO COLLECT AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF THE DOG'S WASTE AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF" WHEREAS, the Barangay Council of Macasing enacted Barangay Ordinance No. 15, s. 2019 entitled; "An Ordinance mandating dog owners whose dog animals have been found to have urinated and defecated on another person's property, and on streets, sidewalks, and other public places to collect and properly dispose of the dog's waste and providing penalties for violation thereof," and submitted the same to this august body in accordance of R.A. 7160 for review and confirmation; WHEREAS, the joint Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation and Committee on Barangay Affairs, to which the foregoing concern was referred for preliminary review, recommended for the confirmation thereof by the body as no legal impediment and/or infringement have been found that will obviate the enforcement of the same; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to confirm, as this body hereby confirms the validity of Barangay Ordinance No. 15, s. 2019, of the Barangay Council of Macasing, entitled; "An Ordinance mandating dog owners whose dog animals have been found to have urinated and defecated on another person's property, and on streets, sidewalks, and other public places to collect and properly dispose of the dog's waste and providing penalties for violation thereof." RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copies of this resolution to the Barangay Council of Macasing through its Punong Barangay, for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
