A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ADVISE ALL DEPARTMENT HEADS AND/OR CHIEFS OF OFFICES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICES' BUDGET PROPOSAL FOR INCORPORATION IN THE CITY'S ANNUAL EXECUTIVE BUDGET FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2021 PURSUANT TO THE TIMELINE STIPULATED UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7160, AND A FURTHER ADVISORY TO THE FIFTY-FOUR (54) BARANGAYS TO SUBMIT THEIR RESPECTIVE CY 2021 ANNUAL BUDGET TO THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD FOR REVIEW AND CONFIRMATION ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 31, 2020

"A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ADVISE ALL DEPARTMENT HEADS AND/OR CHIEFS OF OFFICES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICES' BUDGET PROPOSAL FOR INCORPORATION IN THE CITY'S ANNUAL EXECUTIVE BUDGET FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2021 PURSUANT TO THE TIMELINE STIPULATED UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7160, AND A FURTHER ADVISORY TO THE FIFTY-FOUR (54) BARANGAYS TO SUBMIT THEIR RESPECTIVE CY 2021 ANNUAL BUDGET TO THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD FOR REVIEW AND CONFIRMATION ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 31, 2020" 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the Local Expenditure Programs of the Local Government Unit must have been prepared and submitted to the Sangguniang Panlungsod not later than October 15 of the ensuing year;

WHEREAS, in view thereof, this body, in order to prevent any further delay in the budget preparation, finds it appropriate and in order to advise all concerned city government department/offices, including the fifty-four (54) barangays, to immediately prepare and submit their respective offices' budget proposal for incorporation to the CY 2021 Local Expenditure Programs of the City Government of Pagadian to give ample time for review and thorough deliberation by the Local Finance Committee before submission to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for consideration, hence, this request;

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it

RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to advise all department heads and/or chiefs of offices of the City Government to prepare and submit their respective offices' budget proposal for incorporation in the City's Annual Executive Budget for Calendar Year 2021 pursuant to the timeline stipulated under Republic Act No. 7160, and a further advisory to the fifty-four (54) barangays to submit their respective CY 2021 Annual Budget to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for review and confirmation on or before December 31, 2020.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; and all concerned offices, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
