RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0608 (Sponsored by: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD), WITH REFERENCE TO THE PROVISION, ACCESSIBILITY AND PRESERVATION OF SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM (SLP) DATA IN SUPPORT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMS, PROJECTS AND SERVICES THAT WILL ALLEVIATE POVERTY AND EMPOWER DISADVANTAGED INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES TO IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE" WHEREAS, consistent with its thrust to implement programs that will help alleviate the local residents' quality of life, the City Government of Pagadian in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) have agreed to concertedly pursue the implementation of programs, projects and services that will alleviate poverty and empower disadvantaged individuals, families and communities to improve their quality of life through Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) data sharing purposely for monitoring and evaluation, continuous tracking, mentoring, coaching and capability building and for matching of any personal information; WHEREAS, to hasten the pursuance of the foregoing project, there is an urgent need to formalize the same through a Memorandum of Agreement where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified, thus, authorizing the City Chief Executive to enter and represent the City Government in the formulation of such agreement is most appropriate at this prevailing circumstance; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as it is hereby authorized Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), with reference to the provision, accessibility and preservation of Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) data in support of the implementation of programs, projects and services that will alleviate poverty and empower disadvantaged individuals, families and communities to improve their quality of life. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through Regional Director Fatima S.
