RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0607 (Sponsored by: Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO PROVIDE AND ALLOCATE A FIFTEEN THOUSAND (15,000) SQUARE METER LOT AREA TO THE PHILIPPINE PUBLIC SAFETY COLLEGE FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE AS SITE OF THE NATIONAL POLICE COLLEGE CAMPUS IN REGION 9" WHEREAS, the Philippine Public Safety College-an attached agency of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) tasks to provide comprehensive and continuing education, training and human resource development to all personnel of the PNP, BFP, BJMP and other public safety agencies and stakeholders-expressed their intention to establish the National Police College campus for Region 9 in the City of Pagadian-being the Regional Center for Western Mindanao-and for the purpose, sought for the provision and allocation of an appropriate lot area; WHEREAS, given this development, and finding the request advantageous and beneficial to the general interest of the people of Pagadian City, it is thus necessary for the City Government to favorably consider the foregoing request, hence this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to allocate and provide a Fifteen Thousand (15,000) square meter lot area to the Philippine Public Safety College for the exclusive use as site of the National Police College Campus in Region 9. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information and favorable consideration; and to PLt. Gen. Ricardo F. De Leon (Ret.) Ph.D., President, Philippine Public Safety College, Lot 2 MWSS Compound, Katipunan Ave., cor. Ayala Heights Old Balara, Quezon City, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
