Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AND CONCURRING WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 40, SERIES OF 2020, ISSUED BY THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR, DATED 08 JULY 2020, ENTITLED: "AN EXECUTIVE ORDER FURTHER RECONSTITUTING THE PAGADIAN CITY RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COUNCIL PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10121, DEFINING ITS FUNCTIONS AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREOF," WITH A FURTHER RECOMMENDATION TO INCLUDE THE PRESIDENT OF THE KALIPUNAN NG LIPING PILIPINA (KALIPI) AND THE RURAL IMPROVEMENT CLUB (RIC), AS MEMBERS THERETO" WHEREAS, in line with the provisions under Republic Act No. 10121, entitled: "An Act Strengthening the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management System, Providing for the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Framework and Institutionalizing the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan, Appropriating Funds Therefor and for Other Purposes," the Honorable City Mayor, by virtue of Executive Order No. 40, series of 2020, dated 08 July 2020, ordered the further reconstitution of the Pagadian City Risk Reduction and Management Council, purposely to help address the negative effects brought about by COVID-19 pandemic towards the indigenous peoples who are considered to be the most vulnerable and affected sector of the community; WHEREAS, this body, finding the issuance of the foregoing Order timely and appropriate, deems it in order to express its strong support, with a recommendation for the inclusion of the President of the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) and the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) as members thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to support and concur, as this body hereby supports and concurs with Executive Order No. 40, series of 2020, issued by the Honorable City Mayor, dated 08 July 2020, entitled: "An Executive Order Further Re-Constituting the Pagadian City Risk Reduction and Management Council Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10121, defining its functions and providing funds thereof," with a further recommendation to include the President of the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) and the Rural Improvement Club (RIC), as members thereto. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; and to the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
