RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0583 (Sponsored by: Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO CONSIDER THE PROVISION AND ALLOCATION OF AN APPROPRIATE LOT AREA AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE AT BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, PREFERABLY BESIDE THE PROPOSED DIRECTORATE FOR INTEGRATED POLICE OPERATIONS (DIPO), TO THE NATIONAL POLICE COLLEGE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF THE NATIONAL POLICE TRAINING CENTER" WHEREAS, on June 25, 2020, His Excellency, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, issued Memorandum Circular No.78 which, in gist, repealed Memorandum Circular No. 11 (S. 2010) and directed the transfer of regional offices of national government agencies in Region IX from Zamboanga City to Pagadian City Pursuant to Executive Order No. 429 (S. 1990); WHEREAS, along with the foregoing development, and in consideration of the request of this Sanggunian through Resolution No. 2020-0368, the National Police College administration has intimated their interest and desire to transfer to the City of Pagadian as they sought for the donation of an appropriate lot area at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site at Barangay Balintawak, preferably beside the proposed Directorate for Integrated Police Operations (DIPO), for the establishment and operation of the National Police Training Center; WHEREAS, given this, it is therefore necessary for the City Government to favorably consider the provision and allocation of an appropriate lot area for use of the National Police College, thus this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to consider the provision and allocation of an appropriate lot area at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site at Barangay Balintawak, this city, preferably beside the proposed Directorate Integrated for Police Operations (DIPO), to the National Police College for the establishment and operation of the National Police Training Center. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information and favorable consideration. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
