RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0579 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO TRANSFER THE VARIOUS PROPERTY, PLANT AND EQUIPMENT (PPE), OUT OF THE CITY'S SPECIAL EDUCATION FUND, FROM THE ACCOUNT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN TO THE ACCOUNT OF THE PAGADIAN CITY SCHOOLS DIVISION-DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, BEING THE ACTUAL USER/RECIPIENT THERETO" WHEREAS, City Government of Pagadian, in response to the various request of the different schools in the city as well as the Pagadian City Schools Division-Department of Education, and out of the City's Special Education Fund, has acquired, purchased and developed various properties, plants and equipment (PPE); WHEREAS, while such properties, plants and equipment have long been transferred and utilized by the requesting schools or the City Schools Division as the case may be, however, such properties, plants and equipment has remained under the City's Books of Accounts-which is, accordingly, contrary to the Philippine Public Sector Accounting Standards (PPSAS) per Notice of Suspension issued by the Commission on Audit, dated 03 June 2020; WHEREAS, to remedy the foregoing situation, there is thus a need to effect the transfer from the accounts of the City Government to the accounts of the Pagadian City Schools Division-Department of Education being the actual user/recipient of such properties, plants and equipment, hence, authorizing the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to transfer the various Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE), out of the city's Special Education Fund, from the account of the City Government of Pagadian to the account of the Pagadian City Schools Division-Department of Education (DEPED), being the actual user/recipient thereto. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for immediate favorable action; to Mr. Peter Paul C. Cotingjo, City Accountant; Engr. Ray P. Virtudez, City General Services Officer; and the City Auditor, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
