RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0575 (Sponsored by: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety; Committee on Agriculture, Fishery and Agrarian Reform; and Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HIS HONOR, GOVERNOR VICTOR J. YU, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, THROUGH THE HONORABLE SANGGUNIANG PANLALAWIGAN, TO CONSIDER AMENDING SECTION 3, MANAGEMENT BODY, OF PROVINCIAL ORDINANCE NO. 021-2020 MORE PARTICULARLY ON THE DESIGNATION OF THE POSITION OF ACLI ASSISTANT MANAGER, WITH A RECOMMENDATION THAT THE LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE FROM AMONG THE ACLI MEMBER LGU HAVING THE LARGEST ACLI SUPPORT FUND BE DESIGNATED INSTEAD TO SUCH POSITION" WHEREAS, Section 3 of Provincial Ordinance No. 021-2020 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Zamboanga del Sur provides for the composition of the Alliance of Coastal LGUs of Illana Bay (ACLI) Management Body, and Item No. 2 thereof specifically designated the Zamboanga del Sur Chapter President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) as ACLI Assistant Manager; WHEREAS, while this body recognizes the capability and competency of the current ZDS Chapter President of the LMP to effectively perform his concurrent duties and responsibilities as ACLI Assistant Manager, however, propriety and suitability dictates that such position must be conferred to the Local Chief Executive from among the member LGUs who are considered the direct parties in interest; WHEREAS, given the foregoing reason, there is thus an urgent need to introduce an amendment to Section 3 of Provincial Ordinance No. 021-2020 particularly on the designation of the position of ACLI Assistant Manager, hence, this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests His Honor, Governor Victor J. Yu, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, through the Honorable Sangguniang Panlalawigan, to consider amending Section 3, Management Body, of Provincial Ordinance No. 021-2020 more particularly on the designation of the position of ACLI Assistant Manager, with a recommendation that the Local Chief Executive from among the ACLI member LGUs having the largest ACLI support fund be designated instead to such position. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, Governor Victor J. Yu, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, Provincial Capitol Compound, Santo Nino District, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the Honorable Sangguniang Panlalawigan through Honorable Vice Governor Roseller L.
