RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0574 (Sponsored by: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety; Committee on Agriculture, Fishery and Agrarian Reform; and Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION CONVEYING TO THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR THROUGH HIS HONOR, GOVERNOR VICTOR J. YU, THE CITY GOVERNMENT'S ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE ALLIANCE OF COASTAL LGU'S OF ILLANA BAY (ACLI) SUPPORT FUND IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FIFTY THOUSAND (P50,000.00) PESOS" WHEREAS, the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur enacted Provincial Ordinance No. 021-2020 entitled: "An Ordinance Establishing the Alliance of Coastal LGUs of Illana Bay (ACLI) in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur," and Section 5 thereof provides for annual funding contribution from all LGU-ACLI member in the amount of Two Pesos (P2.00) multiplied by the number of population based on the latest census beginning the Year 2020, purposely for ACLI management and activities; WHEREAS, inasmuch as the City Government of Pagadian would like to contribute the amount specified under the said Provincial Ordinance-considering that it shares the intention and purpose of creating the ACLI which aims to address illegal fishing and all other forms of criminalities perpetrated within the waters of Illana Bay-however, it is worthy to note that funds of the same nature such as appropriations intended to support the activities undertaken by the Philippine Coast Guard and Maritime Police stationed in the city as well as the organization of the Bantay Dagat were incorporated in the City Government's Annual Budget; WHEREAS, given the foregoing premises, it is but reasonable and justifiable for the City Government to allocate and contribute the amount of P50,000.00 as support fund to the Alliance of Coastal LGUs of Illana Bay (ACLI); NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to convey, as this body hereby conveys to the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur through His Honor, Governor Victor J. Yu, the City Government's annual contribution to the Alliance of Coastal LGU's of Illana Bay (ACLI) support fund in the total amount of Fifty Thousand (P50,000.00) Pesos. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to his Honor, Provincial Governor Victor J. Yu, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, Provincial Capitol Compound, Santo Nino District, this City, for his information and favorable consideration; and to the Honorable City Mayor, for information and support.
