RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0573 (Sponsored by: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD), THE NATIONAL COMMISSION OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES (NCIP) AND THE PIKUMPONGAN SUBANEN GATAW TEBED INC., IN RELATION TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE KAPIT BISIG LABAN SA KAHIRAPAN COMPREHENSIVE AND INTEGRATED DELIVERY OF SOCIAL SERVICES PAYAPA AT MASAGANANG PAMAYANAN INDIGENOUS PEOPLE COMMUNITY-DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT (KALAHI-CIDSS PAMANA IP CDD) PROGRAM" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the National Commission of Indigenous Peoples, and the Pikumpongan Subanen Gataw Tebed Incorporated have agreed to concertedly pursue the implementation of the Kapit Bisig Laban Sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan Indigenous People Community-Driven Development (KALAHI-CIDSS PAMANA IP CDD) Program-a social protection program that will address the needs of the Subanen Indigenous Peoples in the city amidst the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic; WHEREAS, in order to effectively pursue the foregoing project, there is an urgent need to formalize the same through a Memorandum of Agreement, thus, authorizing the City Chief Executive to enter and represent the City Government in the formulation of such agreement is most appropriate at this prevailing circumstance; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the National Commission of Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) and the Pikumpongan Subanen Gataw Tebed Inc., in relation to the implementation of the Kapit Bisig Laban Sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan Indigenous People Community-Driven Development (KALAHI-CIDSS PAMANA IP CDD) Program. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the Department of Social Welfare and Development through Regional Director Fatima S. Caminan, DSWD, Field Office-IX; to the National Commission of Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) through its OIC-Regional Director Henrico L. Gumibao, NCIP-Regional Office 9; the Pikumpongan Subanen Gataw Tebed Inc., represented by Mr. Braulio G. Anlimon and others concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
