"A RESOLUTION URGING THE 54 BARANGAY GOVERNMENT UNITS OF PAGADIAN CITY TO STRICTLY ENFORCE THE ESTABLISHED SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONARY PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES AGAINST THE CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) WITHIN THEIR RESPECTIVE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION PARTICULARLY THE WEARING OF FACE MASK AND THE OBSERVANCE OF SOCIAL/PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND, FOR THE PURPOSE, CONDUCT REGULARLY A "RECORRIDA" TO MAKE AWARE AND/OR REMIND THEIR CONSTITUENTS" 

WHEREAS, after the City of Pagadian was placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) on 01 June 2020, it has been observed that local residents are now freely roaming outside their residents without observing proper public health protocols as if they are unmindful and unwary of their vulnerability and susceptibility to being infected by such disease; 

WHEREAS, it is important to note that presently no vaccine against such disease is yet available and the possibility of transmission of the such disease is too high to ignore and disregard especially that Pagadian City is now embracing the arrival and return of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) as well as Overseas Seafarers- where information revealed that some OFWs have arrived in the city unnoticed and without having been reported to the concerned authorities for proper monitoring; 

WHEREAS, considering the seriousness and gravity of the foregoing concern, and to ensure the safety and protection of the health and welfare of every Pagadianons, it is thus reasonable and practical for all officials of the different barangays of the city- being at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 disease- to continuously enforce within their respective territorial jurisdiction the established public health standards by conducting regularly the so-called "Recorrida"-a public announcement of such precautionary measures through a roving truck; 

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it

RESOLVED to urge, as this body hereby urges all Barangay Government Units of Pagadian City to strictly enforce the established safety and precautionary public health measures against the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) within their respective territorial jurisdiction particularly the wearing of face mask and the observance of social/physical distancing and, for the purpose, conduct regularly a "Recorrida" to make aware and/or remind their constituents.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished the 54 Barangay Government Units of Pagadian City through their respective Punong Barangay, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action; the Liga ng mga Barangay Federation President, Honorable Jurofer P. Pulmones, for dissemination to all barangays; and the Honorable City Mayor, for information and support.
