RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0544 (Sponsored by: Committee on Health and Social Services) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HOLDING IN ABEYANCE OF THE CONSIDERATION OF DRAFT MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) TO BE ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN AND THE JAMELARIN HOSPITAL FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH) ACCREDITED TESTING CENTER FOR CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor transmitted Draft Memorandum of Agreement to be entered into by and between the Jamelarin Hospital and the City Government of Pagadian for the establishment of a DOH Accredited Testing Center for COVID-19, with a further request for authority to enter into the same, for this body's appropriate consideration; WHEREAS, the Committee on Health & Social Services-to which the foregoing matter was initially referred-recommended in its Committee Report No. 170 the holding in abeyance of the consideration of the same by the body on the ground that a considerable amount of funds is required for the establishment of such testing center and there is a pending action from the DOH on the request of the City Government to establish another COVID-19 testing center in addition to the already established testing center at the Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center situated at Barangay Dao, this City; WHEREAS, the recommendation of the concerned Committee is well-founded and thereby warrant the approval of this body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the holding in abeyance of the consideration of Draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Jamelarin Hospital for the establishment of a Department of Health (DOH) Accredited Testing Center for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the Honorable City Mayor, for his information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
