RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0510 (Sponsored by: Committee on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION ADVISING THE 54 BARANGAY GOVERNMENT UNITS OF THE CITY THROUGH THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO TAKE NOTE AND ADHERE TO THE JOINT MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 02, DATED MARCH 30, 2020, ISSUED BY THE DILG AND THE DBM, ON THE SUBJECT: "PROVISIONAL GUIDELINES ON THE PREPARATION AND APPROVAL OF THE ANNUAL INVESTMENT PROGRAMS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS IN VIEW OF THE CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)" WHEREAS, in view of the rapid spread of COVID-19 disease in the country and, in consideration of the Presidential directive on the need to institute holistic government approach by rendering full assistance and cooperation and to mobilize the necessary resources to undertake critical, urgent and appropriate disaster response aid and measures in a timely manner to curtail and eliminate the threat of COVID-19, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) jointly issued Memorandum Circular No. 2020-02, dated March 30, 2020, which provides for the provisional guidelines on the preparation and approval of the Annual Investment Programs of Local Government Units; WHEREAS, this body, in support of the recommendation of the Committee on Finance and Appropriations, to which the said matter was referred, deems it appropriate to advise all 54 barangays to take note and adhere to the provisions of the foregoing Joint Memorandum Circular in the preparation and approval of their respective Annual Investment Programs; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to advise, as this body hereby advises the 54 Barangay Government Units of this city through the Honorable City Mayor to take note and adhere to the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 02, dated March 30, 2020, issued by the DILG and the DBM, on the subject: "Provisional Guidelines on the Preparation and Approval of the Annual Investment Programs of Local Government Units in view of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration and dissemination. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
