RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0506 (Sponsored by: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety; Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation; Committee on Health and Social Services; and Committee on Infrastructure and Public Bidding) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE REPAIR AND/OR RENOVATION OF THE FORMER BARANGAY HALL BUILDING OF THE BARANGAY GOVERNMENT OF SAN JOSE SITUATED ALONG F.S. PAJARES AVENUE, SAN JOSE DISTRICT, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, information has it that the Sangguniang Barangay of San Jose, during the previous administration, was able to secure funding support from the Department of Health (DOH) which was utilized for the establishment and/or construction of a multi-purpose building for use as Health Center of Barangay San Jose; WHEREAS, for whatever reason, such edifice, upon completion, is now being occupied and used as the new Barangay Hall of the Sangguniang Barangay of San Jose while the Health Center is accommodated at the vacated and former Barangay Hall of San Jose which is located in an area that is evaluated and assessed to be not Senior Citizen Friendly and does not conform to the DOH standards and criteria for a lying-in Health Center; WHEREAS, as a measure to correct the situation, it is but fair and reasonable for the Sangguniang Barangay of San Jose to utilize the structure according to the intention to which it was built-Barangay Health Center-such that there is a need for them to immediately vacate the area and to transfer back to their former barangay hall instead; WHEREAS, while it may be noted that the members of the Barangay Council expressed willingness to effect their transfer, however, there is a need to institute necessary repairs and/or renovation to the former barangay hall building to make it more appropriate and presentable, thus recommending to the Honorable City Mayor for the allocation of fund for the purpose is most proper; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vicenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor to allocate funds for the repair and/or renovation of the former Barangay Hall Building of the Barangay Government of San Jose situated along F.S. Pajares Avenue, San Jose District, this City. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; and to the Barangay Council of San Jose through its Punong Barangay, for information and follow-up. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
