Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (DEPED) FOR THE USE OF THE DAO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SITUATED AT BARANGAY DAO, THIS CITY, AS TEMPORARY QUARANTINE OR ISOLATION FACILITY OF THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, on 29 March 2020, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), for the purpose of effectively addressing and managing the expected surge in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, Patients Under Investigation (PUI) and Person Under Monitoring (PUM) in the country, issued Memorandum Circular No. 2020-064, which, in gist, directs all Local Government Units to identify government facilities that may be temporarily converted into isolation and quarantine facilities and/or designate and establish their respective COVID-19 special care facilities pursuant to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID); WHEREAS, in relation thereto, Department of Education (DEPED)-Regional Office IX, by virtue of the letter-request from the Honorable City Mayor, approved the temporary use of the Dao Elementary School situated at Barangay Dao, this City, as the city's quarantine or isolation facility as a preemptive measure to address and contain the threat of COVID-19 pandemic in Pagadian City subject, however, to the terms and conditions prescribed by the DepEd for the utilization of such facility; WHEREAS, to facilitate the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing endeavor, it is thus requested by the Honorable City Mayor that he be accorded the necessary authority to sign the afore-said deed, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the terms and conditions set by the Department of Education (DEPED) for the use of the Dao Elementary School situated at Barangay Dao, this City, as temporary quarantine and isolation facility of the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and appropriate action; to the City Legal Officer; to Regional Director Isabelita M. Borres, DOH-Regional Office 9; to City Schools Division Superintendent Danny B. Cordova-OIC; and to Ms. Mercedita A. Ordeniza, School Head, Dao Elementary School, this City, for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
