RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0447 (Sponsor: Committee on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICE (CENRO) TO ASSIST BARANGAY UPPER SIBATANG IN THE RESOURCE MOBILIZATION TO FUND THEIR ECOLOGICAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM IN THEIR BARANGAY" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of Upper Sibatang, this City, enacted Appropriation Bill No. 01, (Barangay Annual Budget, CY-2020) involving the amount of Two Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand (P2,250,000.00) Pesos and submitted the same for review and approval by this Sanggunian pursuant to Section 391 of R.A. 7160; WHEREAS, the Committee on Finance and Appropriations, to which Barangay Appropriation Ordinance was referred for initial scrutiny, observed that said Barangay Government Unit have not appropriated and/or allocated funds intended for Ecological Solid Waste Management Program which deviates from the relentless campaign of the City Government to strictly implement the Solid Waste Management in the city as mandated under R.A. 9003; WHEREAS, to ensure compliance of the foregoing national law, there is thus a need to commission the CENRO to extend the necessary assistance to ensure the incorporation of funding requirements for Ecological Solid Waste Management Program, hence, requesting the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is most appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) to assist Barangay Upper Sibatang in the resource mobilization to fund their Ecological Solid Waste Management Program in their barangay. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and immediate favorable consideration; to Ms. Annalyn Babayson, City Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO); and to the concerned barangay through their Punong Barangay, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
