RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0421 (Sponsor: Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO EXTEND THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND (P116,000.00) PESOS AS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE 1CMOBn, 53RD INFANTRY BRIGADE-FIRST INFANTRY "TABAK" DIVISION, PHILIPPINE ARMY, TO HELP FACILITATE THE CONDUCT OF THE 3-DAY YOUTH LEADERSHIP SEMINAR ON MARCH 6-8, 2020, AT PULACAN, LABANGAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR" WHEREAS, the 1CMOBn, 53rd Infantry Battalion-1st Infantry "Tabak" Division in collaboration with the City Government of Pagadian and other national government agencies is scheduled to hold a 3-day Youth Leadership Summit with the theme: "Peace-Loving Global Youth: Roles in Leading and Achieving Peace in Zamboanga del Sur," on March 6-8, 2020 at Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur; WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor, to ensure the successful pursuance of such endeavor, has committed to extend financial assistance, hence, a request for legislative authority has been sought; WHEREAS, this body, consistent with the City Government's program, advocacy and commitment to the promotion and development of the youth, supports the commitment of the City Chief Executive as it sees the foregoing activity as an effective venue to enhance the skills and to discover the abilities and talents of promising young leaders in our locality; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to extend the amount of One Hundred Sixteen Thousand (P116,000.00) Pesos as financial assistance to the 1CMOBn, 53rd Infantry Battalion-First Infantry "Tabak" Division, Philippine Army, to help facilitate the conduct of the 3-day Youth Leadership Seminar on March 6-8, 2020, at Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; and the City Auditor, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
