RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0403 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION DONATING A CITY GOVERNMENT-OWNED PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT NO. 223-A, UNDER TAX DECLARATION NO. 2019-001561, CONTAINING AN AREA OF TEN THOUSAND (10,000) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY DAO, THIS CITY, IN FAVOR OF THE WESTERN MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY-PAGADIAN EXTERNAL STUDIES UNIT FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE AS ITS PERMANENT SCHOOL SITE, AND AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO SIGN ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE DONATION" WHEREAS, the Western Mindanao State University-Pagadian External Studies Unit had been established and operated in the city for quite some time now, and had been providing quality tertiary education in this part of the region; WHEREAS, it has been observed that while this particular institution has been successfully functioning, the introduction of needed and required facilities/amenities is impeded by the very limited space of the present campus thus the need to identify and allocate a suitable area; WHEREAS, the City Government is an owner of a parcel of land containing an area of at least 10,000 square meters or one (1) hectare situated at Barangay Dao, this city, which has been lying idle for some time now and the Honorable City Mayor is favorably endorsing the same for donation to the said educational institution for the exclusive use as its permanent school site; WHEREAS, this body fully concurs and supports the suggested donation after finding the area most suitable and ideal for the purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to donate, as this body hereby donates a City Government-owned parcel of land known as Lot No. 223-A, under Tax Declaration No. 2019-001561, containing an area of Ten Thousand (10,000) Square Meters situated at Barangay Dao, this city, in favor of the Western Mindanao State University-Pagadian External Studies Unit for the exclusive use as its permanent school site. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to authorize City Mayor Samuel S. Co to sign for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian any and all documents relating to the donation. RESOLVED, FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, this City, for his appropriate action; to the City Legal Office; and the Administrator-Western Mindanao State University-Pagadian External Studies Unit, for their information and reference.
