RESOLUTION NO. 2020-0324 (Sponsor: Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation, Communications and Franchising) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ENFORCEMENT SECTION, OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR, FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A ONE-WAY VEHICULAR TRAFFIC (GOING UPWARD) ALONG THE SEGMENT OF F. ROXAS STREET (FROM JUNCTION P. URRO STREET UP TO JUNCTION SALAZAR STREET), AT BARANGAY SANTA MARIA, THIS CITY, DURING THE HEREIN SPECIFIC TIME AND PERIOD OF THE DAY" WHEREAS, the Barangay Government of Santa Maria, this City, through Punong Barangay Dioscoro A. Laride, by way of a letter, has brought to the attention of this august body the complaint of the nearby residents of Barangay Santa Maria on the use of an alley thereat as parking area of private vehicle owners who are, accordingly, waiting for their respective children from the Pagadian Montessori School; WHEREAS, such practice, if left unattended and tolerated, will pose vehicular hazards to pedestrians and passers-by in the area such that this body, in support of the recommendation of the concerned Committees-to which the said matter was referred for initial evaluation and consideration-deems it imperatively necessary to direct the Traffic Management Enforcement Section-Office of the City Mayor to cause the implementation of a one-way vehicular traffic (going upward) along the segment of F. Roxas Street pursuant to the mandate under City Ordinance No. 2018-400 particularly Section 94, Article 5 thereof, hence this recommendation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Traffic Management Enforcement Section, Office of the City Mayor, for the implementation of a one-way vehicular traffic (going upward) along the segment of F. Roxas Street (from junction P. Urro Street up to junction Salazar Street), at Barangay Santa Maria, this city, during the herein specific time and period of the day, viz: Day Time From Mondays - Every 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. to - Every 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fridays - Every 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (except holidays) RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable, City Mayor, for his immediate and favorable consideration; to the Head-Traffic Management Enforcement Section, Office of the City Mayor, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action; and to the Chief of Police; Attn: The Head-Traffic Management Unit, Pagadian City Police Station, for information and guidance.
