RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0305 (Sponsor: Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation, Communications and Franchising) "A RESOLUTION ADVISING THE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT SECTION, OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR, THROUGH THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO IMMEDIATELY DEPLOY AND ASSIGN, UPON REQUEST OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, TRAFFIC ENFORCERS AT THE ENTRANCE AND EXIT OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT CENTER AT BARANGAY DAO, THIS CITY, TO MANAGE, SUPERVISE AND DIRECT THE TRAFFIC FLOW IN THE AREA EVERY TIME SPECIAL EVENTS AND/OR ACTIVITIES ARE BEING CONDUCTED THEREAT" WHEREAS, most, if not all, of the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod have expressed concern on the heavy traffic along the road leading to Barangay Dao, this City, due to the influx of spectators, guests and visitors in the area every time a special event, activity or occasion is being undertaken at the Provincial Government Center; WHEREAS, given such predicament, it is now the consensus of this august body to institute necessary corrective measures to ensure smooth traffic flow of vehicles as well as ascertain the safety and security of all pedestrians and passers-by to include the expected spectators, guests and visitors thereat; WHEREAS, to effectively pursue the foregoing endeavor, there is a need to commission the Traffic Enforcement Section of the Office of the City Mayor to immediately deploy and assign traffic enforcers in the area every time an event will be conducted at the Provincial Government Center provided that a prior request for the purpose shall have been made by the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte, be it RESOLVED to advise, as this body hereby advises the Traffic Enforcement Section, Office of the City Mayor, through the Honorable City Mayor to immediately deploy and assign, upon request of the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur, traffic enforcers at the entrance and exit of the Provincial Government Center at Barangay Dao, this City, to manage, supervise and direct the traffic flow in the area every time a special events and/ or activities are being conducted thereat. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Head - Traffic Enforcement Section, Office of the City Mayor, for information and favorable consideration; and to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S.
