RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0300 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Commerce, Trade and Industry and Economic Enterprise and Cooperatives; Committee on Tourism, Sisterhood Program, Arts and Culture; Committee on Games, Amusements and Sports; and Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety) "A RESOLUTION ALLOWING THE SPECIFIED VENDORS TO DISPLAY AND SELL FOOD AND DRINKS AT THE CITY SPORTS COMPLEX OVAL GROUNDS FROM DECEMBER 2019 TO JANUARY 2020, SUBJECT TO THE STRICT ADHERENCE AND OBSERVANCE TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS AND STIPULATIONS SPECIFIED HEREUNDER" WHEREAS, several ambulant vendors, by way of a letter, sought permission from this august body to allow them to display and sell food and drinks at the City Sports Complex oval ground particularly in front of the perimeter of the existing carnival for the entire duration of the Yuletide Season from December 2019 up to January 2020; WHEREAS, based on the favorable recommendation of the concerned Committees, to which the foregoing matter was referred for initial evaluation and consideration, this body, in line with its authority over the use of the City Sports Complex area pursuant to the provisions of City Ordinance No. 2006-252, deems it appropriate and in order to approve the request for a specified period subject, however, to the following conditions and stipulations to ensure its proper utilization; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to allow, as this body hereby allows the specified vendors to display and sell food and drinks at the City Sports Complex Oval grounds from December 2019 to January 2020, subject to the strict adherence and observance of the following conditions and stipulations, to wit: The vendors shall only occupy an area as designated and specified by the Office of the City Vice-Mayor; The display shall be in conformity with the prescribed size of tables with uniform roofing or cover provisions; The vendors shall be prohibited to display and sell intoxicating liquors and illegal substances; The vendors shall provide garbage receptacle in compliance with R.A. 9003; The vendors and their assistants shall secure sanitary and health permit from the City Health Office; and The vendors shall pay the required fees to City Treasurer and whose collection shall be deposited in the city's Trust Fund Account. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co and the concerned individuals for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
