RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0292 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH THE SOCIAL HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION (SHFC) FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMMUNITY MORTGAGE PROGRAM IN THE CITY" WHEREAS, the City Government, under the leadership of His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, is committed to implement a social housing program that will accommodate informal settlers of the city to accelerate their social and economic well-being; WHEREAS, consistent thereto, the City Mayor is bent on enlisting the services and expertise of the Social Housing Finance Corporation to assist the City Government in the implementation of the Community Mortgage Program of the city; WHEREAS, in order to realize the undertaking of the foregoing project, it is now necessary to authorize the City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government, into appropriate agreement with the Social Housing Finance Corporation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) for the implementation of the Community Mortgage Program in the city. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Legal Officer; and the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) through its President, Atty. Arnolfo Ricardo B. Cabling, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
