RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0287 (Sponsor: Committee on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER, THIS CITY, TO CONSIDER AND TREAT ALL INCOME TO BE DERIVED FROM THE DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES FOR THE "PASKUHAN 2019" CELEBRATION UNDER THE CITY GOVERNMENT'S TRUST LIABILITY ACCOUNT OF THE GENERAL FUND, AND TO CHARGE THEREON ALL EXPENSES TO BE INCURRED IN THE CONDUCT OF SUCH ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS THE "2020 PASALAMAT FESTIVAL" CELEBRATION" WHEREAS, the City Government will incur expenses as well as generate income in the conduct of the various activities of the 2019 Christmas and City Fiesta 2020 celebrations; WHEREAS, because of the need to properly account and efficiently monitor the finances of the Christmas and City Fiesta celebration, the Honorable City Mayor deems it necessary to consider and treat all income to be derived thereat in the City Government's Trust Liability Account under the General Fund and to charge thereon all expenses incurred during the 2019 Christmas and 2020 Fiesta Celebrations; WHEREAS, the body, following the recommendation of the Committee on Finance and Appropriations, to which the foregoing matter was referred for preliminary evaluation, concurs with the foregoing proposition of the City Chief Executive, hence the need to grant such authority to the City Treasurer; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the City Treasurer, this city, to consider and treat all income to be derived from the different activities for the "Paskuhan 2019" celebration under the City Government's Trust Liability Account of the General Fund, and to charge thereon all expenses to be incurred in the conduct of such activities as well as the "2020 Pasalamat Festival" celebration. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Ms. Nona Grace E. Duran, City Treasurer, for her information, guidance and/or appropriate action; and to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, the City Budget Officer, the City Accountant, and the City Auditor, for their information, guidance and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
