RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0270 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Human Rights and Urban/Rural Community and Committee on Planning and Landed Estates) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE URBAN/RURAL POOR AFFAIRS OFFICE (URPAO) TO CONDUCT PHYSICAL AND ACTUAL INSPECTION PURPOSELY TO ESTABLISH AN INVENTORY OF ALL EXISTING RELOCATION/RESETTLEMENT SITES/AREAS ESTABLISHED AND MAINTAINED BY THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN AND TO KEEP AND MAINTAIN A RECORD OF THE ACTUAL OCCUPANTS IN THE LIGHT OF OBSERVATIONS OVER THE PROBLEMS CONCERNING THE PROCESSING AND AWARDING OF LOTS TO THE LEGITIMATE BENEFICIARIES" WHEREAS, the problem on the status of the existing relocation/resettlement sites established and maintained by the City Government of Pagadian vis-a-vis concern on the need to establish policy guidelines that shall govern the processing, awarding, and determination of beneficiaries has been brought to the attention of this august body; WHEREAS, the concerned Committees-to which the foregoing matter was referred for initial evaluation, recommended in its Joint Report No. 101 to commission the Urban/Rural Poor Affairs Office to conduct physical and actual inventory of all existing relocation/resettlement sites purposely to re-assess the current situation for proper monitoring, evaluation and improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Urban/Rural Poor Affairs Office (URPAO) to conduct physical and actual inspection purposely to establish an inventory of all existing relocation/resettlement sites established and developed by the City Government of Pagadian and to keep and maintain a record of the actual occupants in the light of observations over the problems concerning the processing and awarding of lots to the legitimate beneficiaries. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his consideration and favorable action; and to the Head-Urban/Rural Poor Affairs Office, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
