RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0265 (Sponsor: Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRANT OF MONETARY INCENTIVE/REWARD TO ANY AND ALL COMMISSIONED AND NON-COMMISIONED POLICE OFFICERS ASSIGNED AT THE PAGADIAN CITY POLICE OFFICE WHO, IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, HAVE SHOWN OUTSTANDING ACCOMPLISHMENT IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS AND ALL FORMS OF CRIMINALITY IN THE CITY, SUBJECT TO THE HEREIN STIPULATIONS" WHEREAS, with the City of Pagadian's boosting economic progress relative to its being the Regional Center of Zamboanga Peninsula, it is the present administration's main concern to maintain, uphold and preserve the peace and order condition of the city; WHEREAS, observably, it is not, however, an overstatement to aver that the peace and order situation of the city is far better and improved than what was previously seen and accustomed, due mainly to the relentless and inexorable effort of the officers and personnel of the Pagadian City Police Office; WHEREAS, in order to intensify and magnify such drive, which, incidentally, is predominantly dependent on the City Police Force, the body finds it most imperative to support the City Mayor's desire to grant monetary incentive to the Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Police Officers assigned at the Pagadian City Police Office; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to approve, as it hereby approves the grant of monetary incentive/reward to any and all Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Police Officers assigned at the Pagadian City Police Office who, in the performance of their duties and responsibilities, have shown outstanding accomplishment in the fight against illegal drugs and all forms of criminality in the city, subject to the following stipulations, to wit: PURPOSE. - The grant of monetary incentive/reward is enacted purposely to officially acknowledge and recognize the effort and dedication of all police officer assigned at Pagadian City Police Station in maintaining, upholding and preserving peace and order situation of the city; QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENT FOR THE AVAILMENT OF INCENTIVE/REWARD. Qualification. - All Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Police Officers who are rendering services at the Pagadian City Police Office, except the appointed and/or designated Chief of Police, shall be qualified to avail of the monetary incentive/reward as contemplated in this Resolution. Requirement. - To avail of this monetary incentive/reward, it shall be understood that the awardee /awardees shall have performed outstanding accomplishment in the fight against illegal drugs as well as all other forms of criminality in the city as shown in their accomplishment report as duly attested/approved by Chief of Police. MONETARY INCENTIVE. - For all intents and purposes, the City Government of Pagadian through the Honorable City Mayor shall grant monetary reward in the amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand (P20,000.00) Pesos. APPROPRIATION. - The above-referred incentive/reward when granted and/or extended shall be sourced out and charged to appropriate local funds subject to the usual budgeting, accounting and auditing regulations. EFFECTIVITY. - The grant of monetary incentive/reward shall be effective August 2019. It shall be understood that the outstanding accomplishment report from any and all Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Police Officer since August 2019 and onwards shall be considered in the grant and extension of the above-referred incentive/reward. RESOLVED FURTHER to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; and all others concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
