RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0253 (Sponsor: Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte) "A RESOLUTION CREATING A SPECIAL TASK FORCE TO STUDY THE PROBLEMS ON VEHICULAR TRAFFIC CONGESTION ATTRIBUTED TO THE LOADING AND UNLOADING OF PASSENGERS AND CARGOES BY PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLES AS WELL AS TO LOOK INTO THE PROBLEMS IN PUBLIC UTILITY TERMINALS WITH THE FOLLOWING COMPOSITION AS HEREIN SPECIFIED" WHEREAS, the various traffic problems particularly those arising from loading and unloading of passengers/cargoes of public utility vehicles as well as those arising from the different terminals in the city was brought before this august body purposely to undertake appropriate measures to address and resolve the same; WHEREAS, given the foregoing predicament, this body deemed it necessary to come up with a holistic approach to finally resolve the perennial traffic problem that besets the City of Pagadian, thus, the creation of a special task force for such purpose to thoroughly evaluate, assess and come up with practicable solutions to these road hazard and inconvenience is most appropriate and in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte, be it RESOLVED to create, as it hereby creates a special task force to study the problems on vehicular traffic congestion attributed to the loading and unloading of passengers and cargoes by public utility vehicles as well as to look into the problems in public utility terminals with the following compositions, to wit: Chairman : Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte Vice-Chairman : Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia Members : All Members of the MTRCB; Chairman, SP Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety; The Head, City Road Traffic Enforcement Division; and NGO Representative - to be selected by the SP Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation, Communications and Franchising. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Honorable City Mayor; and the concerned officials for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
