RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0248 (Sponsor: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION INFORMING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR OF THE MALICIOUS INTENT AND CONTEMPTUOUS ACTION OF THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL-REGION IX IN RECOMMENDING THE ESTABLISHMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROPOSED COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (CDA) TRAINING CENTER FOR REGION 9 IN ZAMBOANGA CITY, WITH A FURTHER RECOMMENDATION TO MAKE APPROPRIATE REPRESENTATION NECESSARY TO STOP AND PREVENT THE PURSUANCE OF SUCH PROPOSED PROJECT" WHEREAS, by virtue of Resolution No. 2019-01, series of 2019, of the Lanao Zamboanga and Misamis Occidental Cooperative Network, Incorporated, this august body expressed concern and alarm over the information regarding the recommendation made by the Regional Development Council-Region IX for the establishment of the proposed Cooperative Development Authority(CDA) Training Center for Region 9 in Zamboanga City; WHEREAS, such action initiated by the Regional Development Council-Region IX is just another concerted machination employed to defy and contravene the intent and objective of Executive Order No. 429 as amended by Executive Order No. 36 which, in gist, designated Pagadian City as the Regional Center for the Zamboanga Peninsula Region, as well as an attempt to forestall the determination and effort of City Government to fully implement the transfer of all regional offices from Zamboanga City to Pagadian City; WHEREAS, given the urgency and importance, and taking into account the negative implications that might arise if the same is being tolerated and left unattended, this body deems it most prim and proper to bring the matter to attention of the City Chief Executive with a recommendation for him to make appropriate measures and/or actions necessary to stop and/or prevent the pursuance of such proposed project; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to inform, as this body hereby informs the Honorable City Mayor of the malicious intent and contemptuous action of the Regional Development Council-Region IX in recommending the establishment and construction of the proposed Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Training Center for Region 9 in Zamboanga City, with a further recommendation to make appropriate representation necessary to stop and prevent the pursuance of such proposed project. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his for information and immediate favorable action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
