RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0246 (Sponsor: Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co) "A RESOLUTION INFORMING DR. ROMEO C. HOFILENA, PRESIDENT, PRIVATE SCHOOLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION, THAT HIS REQUEST TO UTILIZE THE PAGADIAN CITY SPORTS COMPLEX OVAL GROUNDS FOR A SPECIFIC PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 30, 2019 TO DECEMBER 01, 2019, CANNOT BE GIVEN DUE CONSIDERATION FOR THE REASON THAT THE FACILITY HAS PRIOR COMMITMENT AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE DURING THE REQUESTED PERIOD" WHEREAS, Dr. Romeo C. Hofilena, President, Private Schools Athletic Association, sought permission to use the Pagadian City Sports Complex oval grounds from November 30 to December 01, 2019, for the conduct of their Annual City Games in preparation for the Regional Games, come February 2020; WHEREAS, with the manifestation of the Chairperson of the Committee on Games, Amusements and Sports, that the requested period is in conflict with the schedule for the establishment of carnival in connection with the city's celebration of the "Paskuhan 2019" and the "Pasalamat Festival 2020"-which use of the facility had been previously approved by this Sanggunian-it is thus necessary for this august body to inform the requesting party that his request cannot, at present, be given due consideration; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to inform, as this body hereby informs Dr. Romeo C. Hofilena, President, Private Schools Athletic Association, that his request to utilize the Pagadian City Sports Complex oval grounds for a specific period from November 30, 2019 to December 01, 2019, cannot be given due consideration for the reason that the facility has prior commitment and is no longer available during the requested period. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Dr. Romeo C. Hofilena, President, PRISAA, for information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
