RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0245 (Sponsor: Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE GLOBE TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANY TO FAVORABLY CONSIDER THE EXPANSION OR EXTENSION OF THE COVERAGE OF THEIR COMMUNICATION SERVICES TO CATER THE NEEDS OF ITS LOCAL SUBSCRIBERS/CLIENTELE IN THE FAR-FLUNG BARANGAYS OF PAGADIAN CITY PARTICULARLY IN BARANGAYS LISON VALLEY, LOURDES, DAMPALAN, DEBOROK, LOWER SIBATANG, GUBANG, GUBAC AND LA SUERTE" WHEREAS, being the Regional Center of Government in Region IX better known as "The Zamboanga Peninsula Region," and in consideration of the present favorable economic atmosphere, Pagadian City has now become a hub of business and human activities in the region thereby tremendously increasing the demand for facilities that could immediately address their various needs; WHEREAS, among the requirement is the telecommunication facilities where, at present, some areas of the city particularly at the far-flung barangays has still no coverage for cellular phone service, such that it is most requested that the Globe Telecommunications Company shall seriously consider the expansion or extension of the coverage of their communication services to the outmost rural areas of the city to cater to the needs of its many clientele and subscribers thereat; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as it is hereby earnestly requested the Globe Telecommunications Company to favorably consider the expansion or extension of the coverage of their communication services to cater the needs of its local subscribers/clientele in the far-flung barangays of Pagadian City particularly in Barangays Lison Valley, Lourdes, Dampalan, Deborok, Lower Sibatang, Gubang, Gubac and La Suerte. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Globe Telecommunications Company through its Pagadian Branch Office, for its preferential consideration and fast action; to the Honorable City Mayor and the National Telecommunications Commission, for their information and favorable support.
