RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0222 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Health and Social Services and Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE TO STRICTLY ADHERE AND COMPLY WITH RESOLUTION NO. 060-2019 OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLALAWIGAN OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR WITH REFERENCE TO THE CONDUCT OF CASE STUDY REPORTS WITHOUT NEED OF PRIOR REFERRAL FROM THE LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE, AND WITH A FURTHER RECOMMENDATION FOR THE SAID OFFICE TO PROVIDE AND SUBMIT WEEKLY CONSOLIDATED REPORTS TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR AND COPY FURNISH THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD FOR INFORMATION, IN AID OF LEGISLATION" WHEREAS, this august body was furnished with Resolution No. 060-2019 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Zamboanga del Sur, entitled: "A Resolution Enjoining the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) and City Social Welfare and Development Officer (CSWDO) in the Province, to Conduct case studies and come up with reports without need of referral or endorsement from their respective local chief executives" for this body's preferential action; WHEREAS, following the favorable recommendation of the concerned Committees, to which the foregoing matter was referred for initial evaluation and consideration, this body finds it necessary to direct the City Social Welfare and Development Office to strictly adhere and comply with the said resolution with a further advise for the said office to provide and submit weekly consolidated reports to the Honorable City Mayor and copy furnish the Sangguniang Panlungsod for information, in aid of legislation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Social Welfare Services and Development Office to strictly adhere and comply with Resolution No. 060-2019 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Zamboanga del Sur with reference to the conduct of case study reports without need of prior referral from the Local Chief Executive, and with a further recommendation for the office to provide and submit weekly consolidated reports to the Honorable City Mayor and copy furnish the Sangguniang Panlungsod for information, in aid of legislation. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; and to the City Social Welfare and Development Officer, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
