RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0203 (Sponsor: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH-ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA CENTER FOR HEALTH DEVELOPMENT, IN RELATION TO THE ALLOCATION OF TWO MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND (P2,750,000.00) PESOS OUT OF THE GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT OF 2019 UNDER THE HEALTH FACILITIES ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF VARIOUS INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, in line with the national government's thrust to improve accessibility to quality hospitals and health care facilities, City Government of Pagadian and the Department of Health have agreed to pursue the implementation of various health related infrastructure projects through the department's Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) as specified and appropriated under the General Appropriations Act of 2019, namely: Project Description Amount Completion, Repair/Renovation/Rehabilitation, Relocation of Danlugan BHS P 750,000.00 Completion, Repair/Renovation/Rehabilitation, Relocation of Napolan BHS 750,000.00 Construction of New BHS, Lapedian Birthing Center 1,250,000.00 Total P 2,750,000.00 WHEREAS, to ensure the successful and effective implementation of the projects, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the Department of Health and the City Government wherein the duties and responsibilities of both parties are specified, such that the Honorable City Mayor sought legislative authority to enter into the said deed, which request merited the body's support and approval; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Health (DOH), in relation to the allocation of Two Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand (P2,750,000.00) Pesos out of the General Appropriations Act of 2019 under the Health Facilities Enhancement Program of the Department of Health for implementation of various infrastructure projects in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and Regional Director Emilia P.
