RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0202 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION AND DESIGNATION OF THE ROTUNDA PARK AT B.F. ARAO AVENUE AS WELL AS THE AREAS ALONG THE BALINTAWAK HIGHWAY AND TIGUMA HIGHWAY, ALL OF THIS CITY, AS PERMANENT SITES FOR THE FRUIT VENDORS AND ALL OTHER AMBULANT VENDORS IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, pursuant to the directive of His Excellency, President Rodrigo R. Duterte, the City Government has implemented road and sidewalk clearing where several fruit vendors and all other ambulant vendors who were displaying and/or selling their goods along the sidewalks of the city were affected and displaced, such that their immediate relocation to a more suitable area is most required; WHEREAS, for this purpose, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter, proposed for the allocation and designation of the area within the rotunda park at B.F. Arao Avenue as well as the areas along Balintawak Highway and Tiguma Highway as permanent sites for all those displaced fruit vendors and all other ambulant vendors of the city, with the specified percentage of the total number of vendors for every area, viz: Rotunda Park - Seventy Percent (70%) Tiguma Highway - Fifteen Percent (15%) Balintawak Highway - Fifteen Percent (15%) WHEREAS, this body, finding such request beneficial and for the interest of the general public, deems it imperatively necessary to approve the same; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the allocation and designation of the Rotunda Park at B.F. Arao Avenue as well as the areas along the Balintawak Highway and Tiguma Highway, all of this city, as permanent sites for the fruit vendors and all other ambulant vendors in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co for his consideration and appropriate action; and other offices concerned, for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
