RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0200 (Sponsor: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A CONTRACT OF SERVICE WITH DR. MARIA CYNTHIA R. HERRERA, M.D., FOR A SPECIFIC PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 2019 TO DECEMBER 31, 2019, WITH REFERENCE TO THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE FREE-STANDING CLINICAL LABORATORY OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, consistent with its thrust and mandate to provide better health services to the city's constituents, the City Government has established a Free-Standing Clinical Laboratory that is operated by the Pagadian City Health Office, which operation, to be effective, requires the services and expertise of a pathologist; WHEREAS, considering that the City Government has no available licensed pathologist under its present personnel structure, the Honorable City Mayor sought the technical services of Dr. Maria Cynthia R. Herrera, a medical doctor by profession with specialization in the field of pathology, who, in turn, signified her willingness to make available her services for the purpose; WHEREAS, to effect the employment of such medical expert, there is thus a need to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to enter into a Contract of Service with Dr. Maria Cynthia R. Herrera, M.D., wherein the obligations and responsibilities of both parties are being specified, hence, this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Contract of Service with Dr. Maria Cynthia R. Herrera, M.D., for a specific period from July 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019, with reference to the operation and maintenance of the Free-Standing Clinical Laboratory of the City Government of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, the City Legal Officer, the City Budget Officer, the City Accountant, the City Administrator, the City Auditor and Dr. Maria Cynthia R.
