RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0198 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO APPROPRIATE THE AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND (P1,225,000.00) PESOS, OUT OF ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE FAMILY-VICTIMS OF THE AUGUST 30, 2019 CONFLAGRATION AT BARANGAY DUMAGOC, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, on August 30, 2019, a fire incident took place at Barangay Dumagoc, this City, were a total of 135 residential dwelling were affected per official records from the City Social Welfare and Development Office; WHEREAS, in understanding the financial crisis now suffered by the fire-victims brought about by the loss of their residence and personal belongings, there is thus a need for the City Government to provide all necessary assistance to help mitigate the impact of such unfortunate incident, hence, authorizing the Honorable City Mayor to allocate appropriate amount for use as financial assistance is in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to allocate and utilize the total amount of One Million Two Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand (P1,225,000.00) Pesos, out of any available fund sources of the City Government, for financial assistance to the family-victims of the August 30, 2019 conflagration at Barangay Dumagoc, this City, in the amount specified herein: 27 fire-victims classified as Non-NHA @ P15,000.00 each - P 405,000.00 56 fire-victims classified as NHA @ P10,000.00 each - 560,000.00 52 fire-victims classified as partially damaged/ Sharer/Renter @ P5,000.00 each - 260,000.00 P 1,225,000.00 RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; to the City Budget Officer; to the City Accountant; to the City Treasurer; and to the City Auditor, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
