RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0197 (Sponsor: Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ALLOCATE THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND (P500,000.00) PESOS, OUT OF ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, FOR USE AS MONETARY REWARD TO ANY PERSON OR GROUP OF PERSONS WHO COULD PROVIDE MATERIAL AND VITAL INFORMATION FOR THE IMMEDIATE SOLUTION OF THE ABDUCTION OF MR. ALLAN ARTHUR HYRONS AND MRS. WILMA HYRONS" WHEREAS, the couple, Mr. Allan Arthur Hyrons, a British national, and Mrs. Wilma Hyrons, a Filipina, proprietors of Hyrons Beach Resort and Hyrons College, situated at the Municipality of Tukuran, Province of Zamboanga del Sur, were abducted by still unidentified armed men at their beach resort last 04 October 2019, and that, up to this point, both the operatives from the Philippine National Police-Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) are still pursuing any available information as regards the identity of the perpetrators and the whereabouts of the kidnapped-victims; WHEREAS, as the City Government of Pagadian joins the entire people of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur in desiring for the safe release of the victims and for the culprits to be brought to the bar of justice, it is still the belief of this august body to seek support from the community by soliciting material and vital information relative to the whereabouts of the kidnapped-victims as well as establish the identity of the assailants and all those behind the atrocious deed; WHEREAS, for this purpose, the extension of monetary incentive to any and all persons or group of persons who may be able to provide the necessary information and intelligence data that will lead to the immediate solution of the abduction and the immediate arrest and prosecution of those involved is highly in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to allocate the amount of Five Hundred Thousand (P500,000.00) Pesos, out of any available fund sources of the City Government, for use as monetary reward to any person or group of persons who could provide material and vital information for the immediate solution of the abduction of Mr. Allan Arthur Hyrons and Mrs. Wilma Hyrons. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his appropriate action; the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; the City Auditor and all others concerned, for their information. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
