RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0195 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO PURCHASE THE HEREUNDER PARCELS OF LAND OWNED BY THE HEIRS OF URBANA YONGCO, ET. AL., SITUATED AT BARANGAY BULATOK, THIS CITY, IN THE AMOUNT OF EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY (P850.00) PESOS PER SQUARE METER, WHICH AREA SHALL BE USED AS SITE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT-FUNDED PERMANENT EVACUATION CENTER IN PAGADIAN CITY" WHEREAS, through Resolution No. 2019-0142 passed by this august body, the Honorable City Mayor was authorized to delineate and segregate an appropriate area beside the Pagadian City Integrated Bus Terminal at Barangay Bulatok, this City, for the development, construction and establishment of a national government-funded permanent evacuation center in the City of Pagadian pursuant to the national government's program to provide facilities to mitigate, if not prevent, injury or damage during occurrences of natural and/or man-made calamities; WHEREAS, in order to effect the pursuance of such infrastructure project, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter, informed this Sanggunian on the need to acquire and/or purchase the remaining privately-owned parcels of land adjacent to the Pagadian City Integrated Bus Terminal owned by the heirs Urbana Yongco, et. al., with a total land area of 12,243 square meters; WHEREAS, in relation thereto, information revealed that the registered owners and the City Government has come to an agreement as regards the appraisal value of the entire parcel of land in the amount of Eight Hundred Fifty (P850.00) Pesos per square meter based on the recommendation of the City Appraisal Committee through its Resolution No. 4, series of 2019, such that the Honorable City Mayor sought for authority to purchase the same; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, this body deems it prim and proper to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to purchase such parcels of land chargeable against any available fund sources of the City Government; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to purchase parcels of land owned by the heirs of Urbana Yongco, et. al., consisting of 12,243 square meters, situated at Barangay Bulatok, this City, in the amount of Eight Hundred Fifty (P850.00) Pesos Per Square Meter, as specified and described herein, to wit: Portion of Lot 1 (12701) consisting of 1,382 square meters; Lot 2 (12702) consisting of 1,383 square meters; Portion of Lot 3 consisting of 1,384 square meters; Lot 4 consisting of 2,698 square meters; Portion of Lot 5 (12705) consisting of 2,698 square meters; and Lot 6 (12706) consisting of 2,698 square meters; RESOLVED FURTHER, to segregate portion of the afore-mentioned land area as site for the establishment and construction of the national government-funded permanent evacuation center of the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FINALLY, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; to the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; and the City Auditor, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
