RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0183 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY UTILIZATION OF THE CITY OVAL GROUND AS SITE FOR CARNIVAL SHOWS FOR THE PERIOD NOVEMBER 2019 UP TO JANUARY 2020" WHEREAS, in line with the celebration and observance of the forthcoming Christmas Season and the City Parochial Fiesta dubbed as "Pasalamat Festival" come January 19, 2020, the City Government has lined up various festive activities and one of which is the operation of a carnival that will provide entertainment and variety shows for the public; WHEREAS, for this purpose, the Honorable City Mayor requested that the city oval grounds be temporarily allocated and utilized purposely as the site of the carnival shows from November 2019 until after the celebration of the Pasalamat Festival on the third Sunday of January 2020; WHEREAS, pursuant to City Ordinance No. 2006-252, this body, being vested with the full control and supervision over the use and management of the city oval, finds such request worthy of support, thus, approving the temporary use thereof for carnival show purposes for the period November 2019 to January 2020 is in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the temporary utilization of the City Oval Ground as a site for Carnival Shows for the period November 2019 up to January 2020. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and guidance; and to all concerned local offices, for guidance and reference particularly in the processing and issuance of local permits. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
