RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0159 (Sponsor: Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A CONTRACT OF LEASE WITH THE PHILIPPINE CROP INSURANCE CORPORATION (PCIC) REPRESENTED BY ITS PRESIDENT ATTY. JOVY C. BERNABE, FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE OFFICE BUILDING LEASE BY THE LATTER FROM OCTOBER 15, 2019 TO OCTOBER 15, 2021" WHEREAS, the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) in the city has been leasing an office space located at the 4th floor of the City Commercial Center (C3), the lease contract of which will be expiring on October 15, 2019, thus, prompting the PCIC to request, by way of a letter, for the extension of its lease and utilization of the same office space up to October 2021 which request was favorably endorsed by the Honorable City Mayor; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, this body deems it urgently necessary to grant the extension of the lease period from October 15, 2019 to October 15, 2021 and that the Honorable City Mayor be accorded the corresponding authority to enter into the pertinent Contract; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Contract of Lease with the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) represented by its President, Atty. Jovy C. Bernabe, for the extension of the office space lease by the latter from October 15, 2019 to October 15, 2021. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation through its Regional Manager II, Ms. Evelyn A.
