Ariosa) "A RESOLUTION RESCINDING AND DECLARING AS INEFFECTIVE RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0037, ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION STRONGLY ENDORSING TO THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS (DPWH)-REGIONAL OFFICE 9, THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF A PERMANENT EVACUATION CENTER AT BARANGAY SAN FRANCISCO, THIS CITY"" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod (13th City Council) during its 3rd Regular Session held on 17 July 2019, adopted Resolution No. 2019-0037 which, in gist, endorsed the proposed construction of a permanent evacuation center at Barangay San Francisco, this city, to the Regional Director of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), for appropriate consideration; WHEREAS, after it was established by the Mines and Geo-Sciences Bureau, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, following their physical assessment and evaluation, that the area is not suited and appropriate for the establishment of an evacuation center, this august body deems it necessary to look for and designate another City Government-owned parcel of land for the purpose, hence, rescinding and declaring as ineffective Resolution No. 2019-0037 is in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it RESOLVED, as this body hereby resolved to rescind and declare as ineffective Resolution No. 2019-0037, entitled: "A Resolution strongly endorsing to the Regional Director of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Regional Office 9, the proposed construction and establishment of a permanent evacuation center at Barangay San Francisco, this City. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Regional Director-Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Regional Office 9, for information, guidance and reference.
