RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0137 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSIDAD DE ZAMBOANGA (UZ), WITH REFERENCE TO THE TRAINING AND AFFILIATION OF THE LATTER'S NURSING STUDENTS WITH THE CITY GOVERNMENT'S HEALTH FACILITIES" WHEREAS, the administration of the Universidad de Zamboanga-Pagadian Branch, by way of a letter-request addressed to the Honorable City Mayor, has sought permission to collaborate with the City Government with regard to the training and affiliation of their nursing students with the City Government's health facilities; WHEREAS, to ensure the realization of such collaboration, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement where the duties and responsibilities of the parties concerned are specified, for which the Honorable City Mayor has sought for legislative authority to enter into the same for and in behalf of the City Government; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation and finding the same to be most beneficial and advantageous to the delivery of basic health services as well as provide the needed training and experience for aspiring nurses, this body deems it prim and proper to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ), with reference to the training and affiliation of the latter's nursing students with the City Government's health facilities. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to Atty. Linda Eustaquio-Lim, President/CEO, Universidad de Zamboanga, and all other concerned, for information, guidance and appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
