RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0136 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE GOVERNMENT SERVICE INSURANCE SYSTEM (GSIS) WITH REFERENCE TO THE AVAILMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GSIS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE LOAN PROGRAM (GFAL)" WHEREAS, in response to the call of the President of the Republic of the Philippines to help alleviate the financial condition of all state and local government employees, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has introduced and offered the loan transfer and consolidation program otherwise known as the GSIS Financial Assistance Program (GFAL) to all its members-beneficiaries; WHEREAS, to effectively and efficiently avail the afore-cited program, the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Government Service Insurance System is necessary, such that a legislative authority to enter into the said deed for and in behalf of the City Government has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor; WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, there is thus a need to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to represent the City Government in the formal forging of the pertinent agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Memorandum of Agreement with the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) with reference to the availment and implementation of the GSIS Financial Assistance Loan Program (GFAL). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co; and the Branch Manager, Ms. Willa Guantero-Mangubat, GSIS-Pagadian Branch, Barangay Dao, this City, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
