Co) "A RESOLUTION STRONGLY ENDORSING THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND/OR ESTABLISHMENT OF A MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING PROJECT AT THE PAGADIAN CITY BOULEVARD, BARANGAY SANTIAGO, THIS CITY, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FIFTEEN MILLION (P15,000,000.00) PESOS FOR FUNDING CONSIDERATION UNDER THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FUND (LGSF)-FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS, PURSUANT TO SPECIAL PROVISION NO. 5 OF THE LGSF, UNDER THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT (GAA)" WHEREAS, the construction and/or establishment of a Multi-Purpose Building project at the Pagadian City Boulevard, Barangay Santiago, this City, has been identified and included as priority development projects under the Calendar Year 2019 Annual Investment Plan of the City Government of Pagadian; WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor, in view of the lack of the necessary funding resources of the City Government to finance the construction of such essential infrastructure project, has sought financial assistance from the national government in the amount of P15,000,000.00 under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF)-Financial Assistance to Local Government Units, as provided under Republic Act No. 11260 or the Fiscal Year 2019 General Appropriations Act; WHEREAS, as a matter of requirement, the favorable endorsement from the Sangguniang Panlungsod is necessary to hasten the release of the requested funding assistance and facilitate the implementation of the project, hence, this endorsement; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to strongly endorse, as this body hereby strongly endorses the proposed construction and/or establishment of a Multi-Purpose building project at the Pagadian City Boulevard, Barangay Santiago, this City, in the total amount of Fifteen Million (P15,000,000.00) Pesos for funding consideration under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) - Financial Assistance to Local Government Units, pursuant to Special Provision No. 5 of the LGSF, under the Fiscal Year 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; and all other offices concerned, for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
