RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0126 (by Acclamation) "A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE CITY'S GREAT SENSE OF LOSS FOR THE DEATH OF INCUMBENT BOARD MEMBER AND FORMER MUNICIPAL MAYOR OF DINAS, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, BASILIO "IKING" VIDAD AT THE AGE OF 82 AND CONVEYING THE BODY'S PROFOUND CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY" WHEREAS, last 03 September 2019, at exactly 3:25 in the afternoon, former Municipal Mayor of Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur and incumbent Board Member of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur, Honorable Basilio "Iking" Vidad, succumbed to death over "Cardiac Arrest" hence, totally concluded his distinguished political career and perpetual passion as a public servant; WHEREAS, the precocious departure of this noble legislator is not only a tragic loss to the Vidad family but to the whole inhabitants of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur as well, whose constituency of the Second District entrusted unto him their representation in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan during the recently concluded May 13, 2019 Mid-Term National Elections; WHEREAS, this august body joins the entire people of the Municipality of Dinas and the Second District of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur in ardent intercession for the eternal repose of the soul of a devoted and substantial public servant, an exemplary family man and God-centered leader; NOW, THEREFORE, on unanimous motion of all the members of the 13th City Council present, be it RESOLVED to express, as this body hereby expresses the city's great sense of loss for the death of incumbent Board Member and former Municipal Mayor of Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur, Basilio "Iking" Vidad at the age of 82 and conveying the body's profound condolences to the bereaved family. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the immediate family of the late Basilio "Iking" Vidad, through Mrs. Teresita J. Vidad, for information. APPROVED BY ACCLAMATION.
