RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0123 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF THE GOVERNMENT SERVICE INSURANCE SYSTEM (GSIS) TO FAVORABLY CONSIDER THE TRANSFER OF THEIR PRESENT PAGADIAN BRANCH OFFICE TO THE CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3) SITUATED AT THE BUSINESS CENTER OF PAGADIAN CITY FOR A MORE CONVENIENT AND ACCESSIBLE LOCATION TO ALL ITS MEMBERS-BENEFICIARIES IN THE ENTIRE ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA REGION" WHEREAS, presently, the GSIS-Pagadian Branch is leasing an office space at the upper portion of the city which is quite very distant from the city proper; WHEREAS, such location, however, has been the subject of numerous complaints from the members-beneficiaries of GSIS more particularly the retirees/pensioners who may have difficulties in going to and from the said office aggravated by the lack of the required parking space facilities thereat; WHEREAS, it is about time that the GSIS Administration be requested to reevaluate its position and consider the transfer of the present location of their Pagadian Branch Office at the City Commercial Center (C3)-which is equipped of the needed facilities and amenities aside from being more convenient and accessible to all its clientele-for the best interest of public service; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as it is hereby earnestly requested the President and General Manager of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) to favorably consider the transfer of their present Pagadian Branch Office to the City Commercial Center (C3) situated at the business center of Pagadian City for a more convenient and accessible location to all its members-beneficiaries in the entire Zamboanga Peninsula Region. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the President & General Manager, Government Service Insurance System, Manila, for his favorable consideration; to the Branch Manager, Ms. Willa Guantero-Mangubat, GSIS-Pagadian Branch, Barangay Dao; and to the Honorable City Mayor, both of this City, for support & follow-up.
